New tourist taxes in ROME from 01/09/2014:
€7 per person per night in 5-star hotels
€6 per person per night in 4-star hotels
€4 per person per night in 3-star hotels

€3 per person per night in 2-star and 1-star hotels
€3.50 per person per night in holiday homes/religious hostels
€2 per person per night at campsites and other open-air hospitality facilities

All tourist taxes to be paid directly in cash at destination

Tourist taxes from 01/09/2014 in Rome area:

Fregene – €2 per person per night in 3-star hotels
Fiuggi – €1.20 per person per night in 3-star hotels
Monterotondo – €1.20 per person per night in 4-star hotels

No tourist taxes are due at these destinations: Palestrina and Rocca di Papa (Castelli Romani)
